Archived Entries
Archiving an entry is a way to declutter your campaign without permanently deleting content. An archived entry remains in your campaign but is hidden from most views.
What happens when you archive an entry
Lists: Archived entries no longer appear in category lists (e.g. Characters, Locations) by default.
Search: Archived entries are excluded from the campaign search and all mention/autocomplete dropdowns.
Dashboard: Archived entries do not appear in dashboard widgets (recent, random, etc.).
Maps: Archived entries are not affected in map markers. They will still appear on maps.
Relations & Posts: Existing relations and posts on an archived entry are preserved. The entry still exists; it’s simply hidden.
Children: Archiving a parent entry does not cascade to its children. Each entry must be archived individually.
Viewing archived entries
To view archived entries, use the Archived filter in any category list. This will show only archived entries for that category.
Archiving and unarchiving
Archiving and unarchiving is a toggle. You can do this from the entry’s action menu (…), or via the API.
Permissions: Archiving requires the same permission as editing the entry (update permission). Any member with edit access to an entry can archive it.
Archive vs. Delete
Archiving is non-destructive. All data, including relations, articles, and properties, is preserved and can be restored at any time by unarchiving. Deleting an entry is permanent.
